Ken Thompson is credited with writing UNIX and B.  It was originally
called UNICS (Uniplexed Operating and Computing System).  Thompson
and Ritchie both worked on MULTICS (Multiplexed Operating and
Computing System)

Dennis Ritchie wrote C.
