I think the ISPF editor is the bees knees, and I rarely use anything else.
But for those who don't like it, it's not like there isn't a choice. ISPF
can be configured so that selecting a file for edit or view automatically
causes the file to open on the PC/workstation using the editor of choice. It
doesn't work with every single editor, but it works with a lot of them; e.g.
Notepad, SPF/PC, PFE, THE, txtedit, VIM, ConTEXT, Crimson, (etc).
