IBM signaled another change in its relationship with Sun Microsystems by announcing the success of a project to port OpenSolaris to its mainframe for the first time.
Later on in the article it says the following: James Stallings, general manager, IBM System z, said Solaris integration made perfect sense... The future of the data center lies in virtualization's ability to reduce skyrocketing energy and maintenance costs".... and more...
