Gilbert, The display you are seeing for the data set's volume list is due to the fact that the data set is SMS managed. The "*" in the display of volumes indicates that SMS had additional volumes in its candidate list when the data set was allocated. The data set was only allocated on one volume - TMM829. This is normal for SMS allocated data sets.
