I know how to manage and tune ECKD DASD.

I was at an IBM seminar about 20 years ago, and somebody asked about FBA.
The IBM'r responded along the lines of:
"Why the Hell would you want FBA?
 If you want FBA, use VM"!

I realised, then, that CKD was here to stay.
