Ted,

Do you have a reference for that 200,000 value? I'm the capacity
planner/zOS performance analyst in my shop. While I'm not authorized to
change the system performance parms directly, they do look to me for
recommendations. Since we are also planning an upgrade from z/OS 1.7 to
1.9 I've been reviewing the various parms and found that we need to
increase the ERV value and probably remove the RMPTTOM entry from
IEAOPTxx. So I've been doing a lot of manual reading and Googling to
determine optimum values. I haven't seen anything in my research about
such a high value for ERV.
