The reference I have is confidential.
It was through a PMR at a site I supported.

But, there is common sense.

If you don't need it, it doesn't matter.
The key is to release the reserve.

The redbook (I can't remember name or number) recomends around 50,000.
But, as machines increase in power, the number becomes too small.
The redbook is, I believe, two generations behind in processor speed.

As my late grandmother used to say:
"It couldn't hoit"!

Overspecifying the value is not a risk.
Undersecifying...
