Esmie, a number of the replies you've received have been incorrect (or at least they do not match the manual), and the below list is also not correct (the 2nd example is not valid). My suggestion would be to take a look at the DFSMS AMS for Catalogs manual, specifically the section titled 'How to code subparameters'. It has a section on what is and is not legal for the 'entryname' parameter.
