It may have depended which OS was ran.  The first one I ran was VM/SP with an 
OS/VS1 guest.  I don't remember if we migrated to MVS, but I don't think so. 
The other one I ran was VM/SP only.  

So 4331 and 4341 were "counter height" but 2-3 units long and the 4381 was a 1 
unit upright?  

I contracted to help a neighboring site recover their CICS install, someone had 
deleted all DLIBS.  They had a small 4300.  I'd said we could do it in a day, 
until I saw how slow their tape moved.  It took over an hour just to RECIEVE 
the tape :-)
