We will be mixing VSE and Linux guests on out z10.The way I set it up in the directory is in the PROFILE entry for the Linux guests I placed: COMMAND SET VCONFIG MODE LINUX COMMAND DEF CPU 0 TYPE IFL It defaults to using CP processors, so I let the VSE guests default. We went to our IBM'ers for help, but they were vague.
