Subject: eliminating locks in VSE

We would like to speed up the access to our disks.
Much of our 3390s are shared.

We think that if we remove ',SHR' from the VSE ADD statements and only link MW
in the one VSE that needs to write to the disk, that will speed things up.

would there be any speed advantage to DEDICATE the disk to one VSE versus just
using MDISKs and being careful about LINK with MW ?
