U have to try PPPoE.. its bcoz u have that user ID pass word internet..I have Mandriva2010 and i have BSNL always on Broadband,. the difference is I dnt have any password and user ID to connect...Just install roaring penguin using your package manager.. And about the home theatre.. First of all u need to make sure all codecs u have.. then try media centre software..
