A few ideas.

1) A stall where people can get distro's and free software of their choice.
- This is easy, all you need is a big hard drive and a PC with a disc
burner. If you are planning to distribute Ubuntu/Fedora , get the repository
discs also. This will be helpful in installing additional software.
Distributing the OpenDisc ( http://www.theopendisc.com/ ) will be useful for
migrating people using Windows. It contains a bunch of high quality Free
Software applications that can be used to replace proprietary applications.

2) An Install stall where people can bring in laptops and get it installed -
Somewhat difficult, since this requires presence of peope with some
familiarity in installing a GNU/Linux distro. ilug-cochin might be able to
help you in this regard

3) Screenings of documentaries about free software ( revolution OS ? ) and
made with free software ( big buck bunny, elephants dream etc ) .

4) Short introduction to what free software is.

You should also contact ilug-cochin. Since they are physically closer, they
might be able to send people to give talks etc.
