Tamil does allow borrowing words since ancient times. Exchange of words between Tamil & Sanskrit are standing examples.. Tirumandiram is oldest available text with ample examples.. But there are conventions even for that.. வடசொல் கிளவி வட எழுத்து ஒரீஇ எழுத்தொடு புணர்ந்த சொல் ஆகும்மே சிதைந்தன வரினும் இயைந்தன வரையார் -- தொல்காப்பியம். That always have to be kept in mind or else we will head towards a situation that led to தனித் தமிழ் இயக்கம் initiated by Paridhimar Kalaignar & Marai Malai Adigal. -- ஆமாச்சு
