In effect this means they might lose more than 50% or maybe more .(Stats from their DNS server might be more helpful ) of the traffic from people who wouldn't type in a www ( its merely an old convention for a webserver host ). Its always better to have a catchall dns for anything.yourhostname.yourfavoritetld. and not just virtual/realhosts.yourhostname.yourfavoritetld. I think you would do well to add an * A record for a catchall for subdomains to the www.yourhostname.yourfavoritetld. And an ordinary A record before all your subdomains for irayon.co.in A jayamail.irayon.co.in. and make the www.irayon.co.in an A record instead of a CNAME record. > There is no hope when > > our official whois registry doesn't run proper whois services. A different story but clueless-ness is infectious. -Tarun Dua _______________________________________________ ilugd mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd
