i never "actually" understood "free as in beer" phrase... but i guess i
understand it now...

Dear sir,

firstly, i feel good that you took an initiative.
but there a few points worth mention...

the "free" cd that you ask for is though free, the "free" term here
relates to the fact that the software included is available for free.
but that doesnt necessarily mean that you may procure it from anyone
from free. possibly the source would demand a nominal
copying/duplication charge (writing a cd for example ~ Rs. 30/=) . which
basically means that one cant simply be kind and send you the cd. (one
may, but its quite unusual to do such selfless acts ...)

either you could request for a contact of anyone in the list who could
accept a nominal charge and send it over (maybe ask you for a cheque
etc...) or maybe just be willing to send it over just like that...

again, its voluntary, but please dont expect the "Free" to a right.

Kishore? did you have FreeDuc CD?

can anyone help?

affly
