in the old days, elite institutions were also the citadels of idealism. Apparently not now. In fact the 'flame' is kept alight in IITM and B by professors who are left over from the idealism of the 80s and 90s - very few students. Possibly all students in elite institutions are already counting the obscenely high salaries they are going to get, so have no time or inclination for anything else. > > Any idea if it is the same in other countries? no idea -- regards Kenneth Gonsalves Associate, NRC-FOSS [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://nrcfosshelpline.in/web/ Foss conference for the common man: http://registration.fossconf.in/web/ _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Next Event: http://freed.in - February 22/23, 2008 Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
