in the old days, elite institutions were also the citadels of  
idealism. Apparently not now. In fact the 'flame' is kept alight in  
IITM and B by professors who are left over from the idealism of the  
80s and 90s - very few students. Possibly all students in elite  
institutions are already counting the obscenely high salaries they  
are going to get, so have no time or inclination for anything else.
