I stated that if the same download has an existing bittorrent file then it can be done. eg. Near the end of this month most people will be downloading Ubuntu 8.04 and Fedora 9. So, after starting the download they realise the servers are heavily loaded thus giving them below optimal download speeds. Thus, they can switch over to torrents for the rest of the downloads. Bittorrent can check the file for the downloaded parts thus avoiding re-downloading them. So, in effect you will be continuing your downloads at much better speeds(subject to properly configured bittorrent client). _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Next Event: http://freed.in - February 22-24, 2008 Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
