Cannot say for sure about 5800, but used the following in E61 & E70 and worked flawlessly. For using 3G (and even EDGE/GPRS), the following works in the init string AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","pps3g","",0,0 via wvdial. The 'pps3g' is the APN (for MTNL). Not sure what's it for Airtel.
