I have heard of a program, called "Nero Burning ROM" I think, that lets you burn Mac disk images on a PC. I don't know if it costs money. Okay, just checked, it's $69, $49 if you download it. Web site here:
https://secure.nero.com/en/secure.asp That way you could get your backup disk images made on the Mac, but burn them on the PC, and end up with nice Mac-formatted backup CDs. There may be other software to do this, this is just one I've heard of, and haven't personally tried. Find out what CD-burning software is already on the PC before you go out spending money. You would still be left with the task of getting the several hundred megabyte disk image files from the Mac to the PC. If they will be networked though a router, and thus share a high speed internet connection, you could use AOL instant messenger's send file command, that's what I do for the few files I need to transfer from my Mac to PC. If no one on here answers your question, you could try subscribing to the Low End Mac "Mac Network" Mailing list. This is right up their alley. Or the "Mac-N-DOS" list, for people who use and abuse both Macs and Wintel PCs. You can find both here: http://www.lowendmac.com/lists/index.shtml Good luck, John > From: Andr Regg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (iMac List) > Date: Tue, 17 Sep 2002 20:08:21 -0400 > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (iMac List) > Subject: Re: Network and burn to Windows 2000? > > Hmm...
