Yes, the "lettered" iMacs, Rev. A-D, are called "tray-loading" iMacs. The later models -- after the lettered model #s, are "slot-loading" iMacs, because their CD-ROM drives didn't have a tray that ejected with the CDs. You just stick the CDs into those models.
