Rich,  The song I listened to was a recording of Dylan's performance at a 
recent Madison Square Garden concert--of G. harrison's Something.  It was 
provided by Dylan's official Sony homepage.

So I don't think the problem was in the recording:  I'm sure that it was, as 
you said, a combination of a busy server and the fact that I connect via a 
modem.
