Donald, you might try plugging the floppy into the top port and the 
keyboard into the bottom one just to see if it works. If not, then 
I'd suggest getting a powered hub. The iMate is an ADB to USB adapter 
from Griffin. The TurboMouse is an ADB device.

Of my USB peripherals, only the Belken USB switch, the Canon scanner 
and the 240MB SuperDisk are powered from the USB line. The Zip drive, 
Palm charger/cradle, and the printer itself have their own power 
supplies. I use the Belken USB switch to share my printer between 
both iMacs.
