Greetings: I just wanted to add my 2cents. There seems to be a great deal of concern about upgrading to OS X. I upgraded my iMac DV400 several months ago to Jaguar. It runs flawlessly. I liked OS X so much I bought a new 12" iBook and my wife uses the iMac. That being said a lot of people seem to be concerned about the loss of OS 9, and that new equipment will not boot OS 9. The solution is buy a used Mac (very cheap now) and continue to run your pre OS X software on it. I have a Power Macintosh 8600 that I use when I want to go back to the "good old days" and it continues to serve me very well indeed. Bought it from a thrift store for 19.95. With this option, you need not fear OS X, just move on up and you may find yourself booting that older system less and less. The only real reason I still use classic is I am still using Adobe PageMill 3.0 to maintain my church's webpage. If I can ever afford to upgrade it, I will probably no use OS 9 any longer.
