I have just got rid of a Canon 670u as Canon refused to upgrade the driver so that I could use it native with OS 10.1.5
I now want to buy a scanner at the low end that scans fast and comes with good OCR software. Although scanning slides would be nice it is not essential. What are you all using and how satisfied are you? For my own experience I was surprised out how slow USB seemed after SCSI. I guess I should have realised the difference.
