In short the machine would much rather be either or. I think my end solution may well be a complete wipe of the hard drive. And doing a partition; some say 20 gig for OS 9 and some of OS X. Thing is as noted earlier, I have a combined CD ROM which does not segregate the two operating systems. Until I obtain a pure OS 9.2 disc and a pure OSX disc, shall not proceed.
