I do understand your position. I used to have line noise and it was caused
by the distance from my house to the phone company's switching station. So
when I moved I found out where the station was in relation to the new house
& I didn't have any problems after that. However, I still went DSL later on.
It was only an additional $ 15.00 per month for 256K and I found out I could
get 640K for another $5.00 per month. Well, I couldn't pass that up so I now
have 640K. YAHOO
