Re: Slot versus tray loading cd-roms?

We recently inherited a blueberry Imac G3.  One of the things we 
weren't sure was working correctly is the slot loading CD rom.  It only 
ejects a little, and then you have to manually pull the tray out with 
your fingers.  Is that how they're supposed to work?

The slot loader has no tray, nothing to open. Insert the CD a slight 
amount and it will pull it in. When you're done, select "eject" and it 
will spit it back out to where you can grab it.

The tray loader opens to where you can insert or remove the entire CD.
