Firstly, it's nice that folks haven't given this guy pissy "this is off topic" 
emails Especially since a suprising number of mac users have parents. I think 
the 
syndrome your talking about is Diogenes Syndrome. But really you don't have to 
be 
old or be diagnosed with anything to be a pack rat.
