Hi again, Listers!
Thanks to all the people that wrote about my problem. My answers follow:
You can get to the cuda from the ram door. It is a little tough but
it can be done.
I'll try it, but it looks tough...
As far as the blue screen goes, is there anything on the screen
except blue?
Everything disappears, it is all blue...
You might try the following:
Boot into the firmware screen (Boot holding the F & R keys)
Then enter the following commands:
"reset-nvram" "RET" to reset ram
"reset-all" "RET" to reset all & reboot
Be sure to do both commands.
I'll try it tomorrow.

Try booting from install CD to see if it works. Run the Disk Utility
from the install CD to check the disk. Easier than opening it iup.

As I wrote, I've already done that, to no avail...

I've had the same prob last week on a 266mhz iMac G3 - it was a bad RAM
stick, so I've just took one out and left a 256MB on the bottom.... then
overwrite the HD and made a clean install...
I don't want to make a clean install, I have some files I want to
rescue, plus all my mail...

Do you have Classic installed on your iMac?
Try booting from Classic - should work, isn't?!?
No, it doesn't work, I've tried it, but only Mac OS X is recognized... :-(
Then update your Graphic card... go to www.ati.com and download the updater
for OS9.2 RAGE II / PRO
Why? Can this help? I do not remember having any problems since
switching to OS X, in OS 9 sometimes the color was off, restarting
took care of it.
======================================+
I will try some of the tips offered, and will report later.
Remember I'm on Digest mode.
Thank you all for the help. I hope to save the HD, don't want to
loose too much, but my last back up was about 2 months ago, and it
was just mail and documents. Lots of other things were not backed up.
Best regards.
