Here is a goofy one.

I've got a RevA iMac that keeps ejecting the CD tray for no apparent
reason. I'm running 10.3.9 on it.

It ejects the tray when you start the iMac (either from power on, or a
restart), and sometimes when you start or quit an application. You just
hear a click, and the tray pops out a bit, like you dragged a CD to the
trash to eject it.

It doesn't appear to be a stuck button, and it doesn't seem to do it if I
put in a CD. It only seems to happen when the tray is empty. To verify if
it was in fact just the eject button shorting out, I swapped the drive
with another one, and it still happens. Neither drive does it in a 2nd
RevA 233, so the drive would appear to be physically fine.

Anyone ever seen this before? Is there something else that could either
be shorting out the eject system, or that could be corrupt in software
that is causing it to eject the tray?
