As Beverly pointed out, it's the favored style on the list, plus it's
proper netiquette to bottom post. The reason it's important is to
prevent a public list such as this becoming a private, two- way
conversation that we must all endure. This and lists like it are for
everyone's benefit, not just yours or the party getting a question
answered.
Secondly, saying the "majority don't (sic) agree" is a weak argument
since the majority can and has been horribly wrong many times
throughout history and in everyday examples we all encounter.
