Hello All,
I not sure how to bottom post, or who decides net etiquette.
The custom (letter etiquette) when answering letters always has
been that any previous correspondence is shown after the letter not
on top of it. Attachments or other inclusions with the letter were
after the main letter or reply.
For email :-
When was any change made?
What good purpose or use does bottom posting provide ?

As Beverly pointed out, it's the favored style on the list, plus
it's proper netiquette to bottom post. The reason it's important is
to prevent a public list such as this becoming a private, two- way
conversation that we must all endure. This and lists like it are
for everyone's benefit, not just yours or the party getting a
question answered.
Secondly, saying the "majority don't (sic) agree" is a weak
argument since the majority can and has been horribly wrong many
times throughout history and in everyday examples we all encounter.
