I'm pretty sure the 120 GB limit does not apply to external firewire 
drives. It is a limit caused by the internal ATA controller. The Firewire 
controller doesn't suffer from the same issue.

At least I *hope* my understanding is correct, because I've been running 
with a 200 GB firewire drive for a while now (single partition)
