Greetings Listers!! Here¹s one to mull over and offer any suggestions: iMac 350 Blueberry, 192 MB 6G HD, running OS 9.1.
I get a lot of Windows Movie Files (.wmf, .wmv, wma, etc.) from friends, and some I can open and play just fine using my Windows Media Player app. Many times though, I can¹t seem to get the video to come up; audio plays great. This is a hit-or-miss situation, and I¹ve even tried sending the files to my G4 Titanium (OS 9,1) with the same results. Why do some play fine, and others no video? Any suggestions on how to get both video and audio to play? Or is this another case of my outdated (but no plans to update) old, decrepit OS? Many thanks, Group.
