Hi there: I'm kicking around the idea of trying to convert some VHS  
tapes to DVD, but know nothing about it. I get the idea that there  
are DVD recorders that will do this (like the Sony DVDirect MC5) but  
apparently that one doesn't use the computer at all and there's no  
way to add track/chapter markers etc. There's also something called a  
"video capture card" but I know even less about those. What's the  
received wisdom on how to do this, without spending any more $ than  
absolutely necessary, and with the ability to do jut the most basic  
editing? As always my thanks in advance!
