What Color/version is your iMac G3? Some of them can handle 512 while others
can only handle 256

Subject: .....Upgrading G3 memory
I am trying to get my G3 to recognize two new sticks of 512. They are out
of an identical machine and I have followed all the instructions but to no
avail. Is there a secret to this thing that I have missed? I'm running 10.4 as
is the machine they are coming out of. I'm feeling pretty damn stupid right
about now:( Any suggestions at this point may just save my hair and/or my
sobriety:) Thanks...........
