For those of you who don't like the "Translucent" Menu bar, get a good video card that is only "Software accelerated" or "Software: only to make sure the menu bar doesn't even think about turning transparent.
Or, you could use one of the many hacks out there to make it opaque, so you don't artificially limit yourself...
