I thought I liked the brushed metal better when Leopard came out, but now when I use Tiger the Finder, iTunes, and Safari all look pretty outdated compared to the sleek look of Leopard and Snow Leopard. And while I do like the translucent menu bar of Leopard and Snow Leopard, I always use a utility called "Displaperture" to add the rounded corners to the top, and my favorite OS X menu bar might have to be the glossy blue and white design of the original pre-release version of Tiger.
