I am running the latest Imail software (7.02 with the hotfix) and the latest
KWM. I have tried to address the following bugs with Human Kind systems
many times but my messages are ignored and my calls are not returned even
when I talk to a live person who is supposed to call me back. (Still
waiting) If they still have a discussion list, I either can't get on it
correctly, it looks like this one or there is no activity in that list!
I have the following problems with the KWM templates at this time. Please
check your systems, as I am sure we all have the same problems as we are
running the same software!
1) Tagging and deleting a message when you have many pages of messages. If
I have let's say 50 pages of messages and delete one using the "delete" tag
imbedded in the top of the message it works ok. If I delete one by checking
the check box and then using the large delete button up top, it throws me to
the last message at the end of all 50 pages of messages. This is a very
irritating bug.
2) The refresh button will check for new email but it will not re-draw the
list of messages if it finds new email. This is easy to fix by clicking on
the inbox and then it will do so. However this is the type of problem that
confuses the novice user.
3) When you are selecting the different folders (inbox, drafts, sent,
deleted) on the left hand side, you can not tell which folder you are
viewing currently if you have no messages in those folders. For instance if
you click on "drafts" and you don't have any messages in that folder, it
will not tell you that. It will not show you an empty list of messages
either. It will continue to show you the list of messages in your inbox no
matter which empty folder you select. However if you save a few drafts to
the draft folder, it will then show you the current list of messages in that
folder correctly. If you then delete all messages in the draft folder it
will show you "no messages in drafts folder" correctly. So to sum it up.
KWM will improperly report the messages in each folder until each folder is
used to store messages. Until then it will display improperly and echo the
messages you have in your inbox to all other folders. If a user thinks this
is some type of server error and then tries to delete all messages in one of
the other folders, it will then delete all the messages from the Inbox
instead as that is what they were really viewing at the time. This would be
very irritating to a user and confusing to ANYONE.
4) The size limit display is way off. If I go into the Imail administrator
and set a users mailbox to 10,000,000 it equals 10 megaBYTES of storage in
their account. However KWM will then display this as 10,000 Mb which would
be incorrect. For example if I set a users mailbox as above to 10,000,000.
KWM will display this as 10,000 MB (WRONG) and if they have 10 megs of
actual messages stored in their account it will show 10 Mb. So the user
thinks they have quite a tremendous bit of storage left in their account
which in reality they do NOT. They have used all their available storage
yet it shows they have only used 1/1000TH of their allotted storage.
5) Very slow. Seems to only work with connections faster then ISDN 128K or
it fails to load the page after you log in. This happens on any slower
connection. I understand that a slow connection will make it run slow but
it should not fail.
In addition I was wondering if anyone had modified their KWM templates to
fix the following
1) When you highlight (select) a message using the mouse the selected
message becomes highlighted. If you then click "next" it will not move the
highlight to the next message. This makes it confusing to see which message
you are reading currently.
These templates look pretty nice but they need to work without confusing the
customers/users to the point of irritation or to the point they go somewhere
else (like HotMail).
