I have seen this before on a Windows 95/IE 5.5 SP1 machine. Change the font that you view web pages in. And set ie not to use the ones assigned by the web page. They will then be able to see everything. Down side when they print they will still get the garbage. I do not know a fix, since the person having this problem got a new machine and it does not happen on the new machine. The old machine was wiped clean and a fresh install done before it went to the new owner and it no longer has the problem. I think it is a font issue with Internet Explorer 5.5. I did notice that if you spell check the document you are typing, I think you will see the document fine in the spell check window. It has been 4 or 5 months since this happened, so I am sorry I do not have a better answer. I would check IE versions, fonts installed etc.

I know that his account is working fine, I can access it from here. So I recommended to him that he upgrade his browser or try another one. I am convinced that it is a software issue on his end, but I was hoping that someone out there has seen this before and knew what was going on. Thanks! -----Original Message----- From: Archer Koch [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, November 26, 2001 10:35 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [imail] Problems reading and typing e-mail I believe I did see something like this once before. But I've quit drinkin' since then. I think that your end user is going to have to dig deep and try to come up with some way of elaborating on this a bit. Nonetheless, the first obvious question is: Has he tried accessing his account from another computer? If not, perhaps he'll give you permission to try. Once you determine whether or not the problem only exists on his PC, you've isolated the problem one way or the other and can go from there. I cannot describe what it looks like except for funny shaped lines. He is using IE 5.5 on Windows 95 Has anyone ever seen anything like this?
