If so I would check to see if the person who is sending the lost attachments is using Outlook 2002 (XP). It does exactly this on selected extensions. It does tell you with a faint little message. I tried sending an mdb attachment about 10 times when I first got Outlook XP before I finally realized it was my own client that was stripping the attachment.
