Ron,

I don't run IIS on this server because of all the port requirements that the
Government restricts us on. I don't have the luxury of using any port I
want, I only have a limited few so I push everything using SSL on 443 and
9000. The other problem is that Imail listens on the same ports for all
IP's.

I host three servers to use this mail program, 1 - SQL2000 server, 1 - IIS
and 1 - Imail. We made some changes to the EZSignup templates so that we
didn't have to use the adduser.exe and therefore were able to host it
completely on the IIS server. I must say it works great. I'm even serving
up the KillerLDAP from the IIS web server.

I have done everything to limit the resource requirements on the system and
I have like no load on the server.

To answer your questions:

        > I serve up all the images from another Internet server and it

# What errors can be found in your SMTP and W2* logs?

No error to date have appeared in the logs. I just get a gap in entries in
the W2 log.

# There is no VBScript in either IMail or KillerWebMail. The code in
# KillerWebMail is Imail tags (the same as the stock templates), and
# HTML/JavaScript (which execute on the client-side and CANNOT cause server
# problems - unless of course they're stuck in some horrendous loop, which
# would be immediately noticeable). KWM has been around since Sept of 2000,
# and is installed in over 1,000 locations worldwide. I seriously doubt if
# all of a sudden it is responsible for Ipswitch's iwebmsg crashes, but I am
# keeping an open mind about it, and appreciate any feedback and CONCRETE
# EVIDENCE (see log question above) users can provide.

My mistake, it is JavaScript. I got confused from another application -
sorry.

# What NIC cards are you running? What are your web messaging settings (keep

Intel 8255x 10/100 Nic, I use all the default setting in Imail and serve up
all additional services from another IIS server including Images - Other
than forcing SSL on 443, I didn't check "Enable Thread Pooling" and "Enable
User Login Suspend". Exactly what the Imail defaults are I have no idea. I
know how to adjust the setting for IIS and have no clue for Imail.

I don't run IIS on that server because of all the port requirements. I
don't have the luxury of using any port I want, I only have a limited few so

I say all this to illustrate, I have like no load on the Imail server. I

What NIC cards are you running? What are your web messaging settings (keep
alives, thread pooling, etc.)?
