Are you thinking FAX???   If you are then I'll agree.  I tried using a USR 
Sportster 14.4 with a Fax Program by GFI (From England) and it was 
terrible.  Ended up using a MultiTech 33.6 and it is flawless with 
sending/receiving faxs
