Thanks for the response -- perhaps I'll finally upgrade to 5.x. However, I
have a question for you: all the discussion (including yours) are centered on
notification, yet what concerns me most is what happened to the existing
mailboxes. Any IMAP box opened while the system was out of disk space was
"cleaned out." That is: a mailbox might have a couple hundred messages in
it. Then the user tries to access the messages, and *all* of the messages
disappear. We keep backup, of course, but that's only daily. We also have
mirrored drives and can check for deleted files, but that doesn't help with
edited files. This is a pretty major disaster, and I can't find any
reference to it in the knowledgebase. Are you aware of this? Is there a way
to recover the zapped messages? Is there a patch to prevent this?

IMail 5.0 does send a response to the sender that it could not send the mail
and does not accept it.
