This is an excerpt from the Ipswitch Knowledge Base:

Question/Problem: I am having problems looking up and finding LDAP addresses
that I believe should be accessible from IMail's LDAP server. I am using the
Microsoft POP3 client which seems to work with other Internet LDAP servers.

Answer/Solution: In Outlook Express, click Edit, Find People, and then
right-click on the IMail LDAP server, click Properties, click the Advanced
tab and set the Search Base to:

objectclass="person"
otherwise the default base ends up being:
c=US

Get the latest version of Outlook Express -- earlier versions of Outlook
Express Address Book did not work well.

Hello-

Does anyone know how to:

1) Setup the Outlook 2000 LDAP client to display the user list on the IMAIL
6 LDAP server? (I can only get a "-" or a blank space where the list of
users on the server should show be)

2) Use some aspect of the LDAP server, LDAP user attributes, and/or the LDAP
client to allow users to send mail to a "group" of users on the server?

Thanks,

Chris Burke
