Thanks for that. Auth through IP addresses OBVIOUSLY restricts users to a
more expensive ISP service, and/or forcing a user to use a single ISP.
Nice, if you are that ISP, but unrealistic for the real world. Not to
mention travelling public.
Why was SMTP AUTH invented?
And worse! Why was it advertised as a feature to purchase IMAIL !?
We're not partially converted to Sendmail 8.10 for outgoing mail, and I'm
glad to report that we've fixed the problem.
IMAIL is still adamant that the problem lies with the client software.... HA
HA. If this were the case, we would be seeing the same problems with
Sendmail.
