To maximize performance, locate paging files on separate physical disks
rather than on multiple partitions on the same disk. You will find you have
much less head thrashing if you do things this way and the time it takes to
locate and retrieve data will be reduced.
I agree with the 3X rule. Seems to be a sweet spot.
