Matt,

This sounds more like a network or browser problem, to me. But the symptoms
are strange enough and being intermittant, will mean that finding the
problem will not be easy.

Since you say that only one domain is being effected, I would look for
things that make this domain unique (DNS, network, router...). As for IMail,
that is all common with your other domains, so that would tend to eliminate
it. How about the network/connections this domain uses to get to IMail. Any
proxies/firewalls that only they use? How about their router? MTU issues are
possible and they often only show up when manipulating large files.

Does it happen to _all_ their users or only one or 2? If only a few, what
makes them unique? Do you do anything to 'fix' it for them, or do they just
try again and all is OK?

Looking at the IMail logs for the time they have the the error, may show
some info that could help. Also any logs from the client end, could help.

Only other possibility that comes to mind is that when they make the browser
request, if the server were too busy to supply the requested page, it might
give a 404 error message. If the user(s) were performing some operation that
caused the server to become very busy, that could also give a similiar
result. Larger mailboxes mean more time to perform operations, so make sure
there are none larger than about 20 meg (although I work on ones that are
larger than that all the time!). You might want to have Task Manager (or
other tool) running so you can observer CPU/RAM and other resource usage and
see if there is any correlation between that and when the problem occures.
