Actually, I am using SQL auth with the advice I received earlier.
The whole exercise was to allow me to have a searchable webpage for names
and addresses. My attempt to pacify unhappt Exchange users who miss their
global address list. Not quite there, but at least it has 'mailto' links
for each returned listing.
Thanks!
P.S. Very nice neighborhood pizza place pizza! Yum

Are you using a Trusted Connection (eg. 'Windows NT authentication using
the current login') in the DSN? IMail doesn't like the use of SQL
authentication.
If I'm right, I hope it's nice pizza. ;)

Subject: [IMail Forum] Idiot's Guide To ODBC Database?
All,
I have niceman's replacement DLL, have SQL Server 7 functioning properly,
but trying what I find in the IPSwitch KB, I still can't get IMail to use
an SQL database for users.
When I setup the DSN then tell IMail to use it then try to expand the users
tree nothing is ever returned.
I test the DSN from the ODBC setup and the connection is established, it
all
actually works well with an Access database. But I need the performance of
SQL 7 so I am turning to those who have it working for help. Any ideas will
be tried, successful ideas will have a slice of pizza eaten in their honor.
Thanks for your time and assistance!
